Brings high-caliber experience from brands like NIKE, TaylorMade, adidas, Callaway, and ICON Aircraft.
Mick brings a proven General Management track record, 30 years of developing teams that executed superior financial returns in Sporting Goods business. EVP of Global Sales at Columbia Sportswear, led the repositioning of four brands – Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, Sorel, & Montrail. Launched a comprehensive Retail Organization – Global Branded Stores, E-Comm and Outlet, profitably improving the consumer’s experience. CMO of Golf Galaxy – the fastest growing golf retailer in the US. It’s successful growth lead to an IPO in 2005. Got his Go-to-Market chops with 10 years at Nike, leading a variety of teams in sporting goods, team, running specialty, and department stores.
Rick has 25 years of business experience with a variety of high-growth companies including GO. He spent six years in Corporate Development and Strategic Planning leadership roles at Best Buy during a time that the company doubled its revenue from $10 billion to $20 billion. He served as CFO of Golf Galaxy while the company grew from 30 stores to over 80; and, meanwhile, led the company’s 2005 IPO and subsequent sale to Dick’s Sporting Goods in 2007. He did a stint as CFO of privately-held Griffin International Companies in Minneapolis, and got his early career experience as a CPA at Arthur Andersen in Minneapolis. He has started 3 companies, and sits on the board of two others. And he loves making a difference with the companies he serves.
Stacy VovesManaging Partner
Stacy is an experienced finance professional, with a particular focus and passion on the debt capital markets. Stacy spent 14 years as a commercial banker in the mid-corporate space, where she was responsible for managing all aspects of her clients financial needs including providing credit for: debt refinance, internal capital growth and working capital, recapitalization, acquisition financing and asset purchases, etc. In addition to serving clients, Stacy is the Managing Principal of the GO CFO division, where she oversees business development, talent recruitment and development, business operations, etc.

Spencer brings 10+ years of digital strategy, creative problem solving, and marketing execution experience from a diverse set of companies and teams. Combining a foundation in graphic design, strategic communications, and digital product creation, he is passionate about blending technology and strategic design to elevate the customer experience online and off. He specializes in working with internal and external teams to create digital experiences for brands as they look to optimize their social media, mobile apps, and websites. Having worked with brands big and small like UnitedHealth Group, Chrysler, Kaplan Higher Education, Hy-Vee, Isoray, and others across the nation, Spencer brings a wide range of experience and expertise to help creatively problem solve and execute ideas across mediums.

Brad brings 35 years of ground floor to executive level experience living the growth mantra with premier manufactured consumer brands in the Automotive, Marine, Hardware, Housewares, and Outdoor Products categories as well as B2B manufacturing and the Energy/Utility space.
Having excelled in CMO roles with companies ranging from $100 million to $ 2 Billion and working in organizations up to $6 Billion Brad has orchestrated many successful corporate wide and divisional growth strategies with brands like Carver, Marquis, and Cruisers Yachts as well as multiple Newell Rubbermaid brands, SK Professional Tools, Lund Truck Accessories, Nesco and American Harvest. Brad comes with a full Go-To-Market tool box that includes corporate strategy, brand management, go to market strategy, Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Product Management and NPD expertise.
Paul EnglishPrincipal | GO GTM
Paul is a creative and passionate marketing leader with 20 years experience in marketing and product creation roles. He has held leadership positions with both market leading and challenger brands in a variety of industries including consumer packaged goods, sporting goods, and financial services. This includes roles at Unilever, Callaway Golf, TaylorMade adidas Golf, Easton Baseball/Softball, and INVESCO Funds Group. Paul excels in building brand growth through creative strategic brand positioning, dynamic product development architecture, and stand out go-to-market planning. When he is not helping to help drive company performance, you can find Paul playing basketball, golfing, enjoying the outdoors, or coaching his son’s Little League team.

Dana is a results-oriented executive with over 15 years of experience in business development, marketing, sales, and operations. She’s held key leadership roles at Target, Boston Scientific, and United Health Group where she has created and operationalized innovative growth strategies. Dana’s professional passion is combining the best practices of world-class companies with an entrepreneurial scrappiness that fuels profitable growth. When she isn’t accelerating companies to new levels of performance, she is training for triathlons, taking in the arts or just kicking back and enjoying her family.
Landon HallCreative Director | GO GTM
With over 13 years of experience across a variety of industries, Landon’s eye for smart and purposeful design has helped guide brands such as Bass Pro Shops, 3M Nexcare, Geneticure and Memphis Grills. When he is not building brands and fostering efficient creative solutions, you’ll find him riding his bike, paddling in the wilderness, or trying out a new craft beer. And most likely, his cattle dog, Ryder, is by his side.

Andrew brings 18 years of Consumer Insight and Strategic Planning experience, with senior leadership roles in global corporations such as Adidas, Callaway Golf, McCann Erickson and TaylorMade. Widely recognized for utilizing cutting-edge research techniques, and sets himself apart from the consumer research crowd in his ability to apply logic and non-linear thinking to the interpretation process. Has got an extraordinary ability to connect with consumers, dig in and document their experience.
Toby NordPrincipal | Academic in Residence
Toby Nord is the Professional Director of Carlson Ventures Enterprise and is responsible for teaching MBA students entrepreneurial skill through experiential learning. He teaches additional courses on Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and is the founder of the University’s START-UP class for student entrepreneurs. Prior to joining the University in 2006, Toby spent 20 years with various Minneapolis based companies including Best Buy, where he worked in Strategy and Innovation. Toby consults nationally, focusing on growth and innovation; advises multiple start-ups; and is the former chairman of Zipnosis, a funded growth stage telehealth company. He received his MBA from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota and his BA from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Justin is an experienced marketing executive and entrepreneur who is uber-passionate about designing and delivering customer experiences that are amazingly effective, easy and enjoyable. With over 15 years of experience in retail, CPG, consulting and agency for organizations including Golf Galaxy, Griffin International, Sprocket Marketing and Periscope, Justin brings a human-centered-design perspective to go-to-market strategy. While his marketing experience and interest is quite broad, his particular areas of focus include CX and service design, digital strategy and relationship/loyalty marketing.

Lois’ strengths and passion start with building strong relationships and then connecting the dots of the big-picture with perfectly tailored solutions. Gretchen SmithDirector | GO GTM
Developing strategy around go-to-market plans and in-store execution is where Gretchen thrives. She began her marketing career at TaylorMade Golf where she developed a passion for retail environments and retail design. Later went to work for a Portland-based design firm where she traveled the world working on great brands like Adidas, Callaway, ASICS, and Oakley. A native Californian, self-proclaimed foodie, and yogi, Gretchen can be found soaking up the sun along one of San Diego’s beautiful beaches or building sandcastles with her daughter.

Tres is a consultant and strategist with deep expertise in Loyalty Marketing and Customer Relationship Management. He works with clients to conceive and develop their loyalty strategy and bring that strategy to market. He also advises clients who have programs in market working with them to assess the effectiveness of their programs and conceive new initiatives. Tres has brought some of the most notable loyalty programs to market including Starwood Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, JC Penney’s, Best Buy, Golf Galaxy, Disney, and more.

Since beginning his career at the Los Angeles office of Arthur Andersen, Steve has worked entirely in Southern California.He has extensive experience providing services in numerous industries. Steve spent 12 years in public accounting, along with a number of years in private industry. While at Time Warner, Inc., he worked in international finance and operations

Ben Bowman has over 15 years of experience leading companies through all stages of growth and renewal. Ben is especially respected for his ability to apply lean startup methodologies across companies and disparate industries. Before joining GO Ben was the Founding CEO of General Blood, the first of its kind online marketplace for donated human blood products. Ben has also an extensive background in international manufacturing and supply chain optimization. Ben earned both an undergraduate degree in Entrepreneurship and a MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.

Tiffany has 13 years of experience working with small and mid-sized companies from emerging to exit stages leading their finance and accounting. She began her career as a CPA and transitioned to systems implementer, controller and finance executive. For the past 7 years she has done extensive financial modeling and over 25 implementations of accounting and ERP systems. She has served as fractional CFO or controller of more than 20 privately held companies over the past 5 years. Tiffany is passionate about helping clients execute their vision by providing solutions and perspective to support profitability, growth, and sustainability.

Before joining GO Rob held senior leadership positions in retail, consumer product, service and manufacturing industries. He has an extensive background in accounting, financial planning, demand/inventory planning, category management, sales and marketing analytics. He excels at building effective analytic infrastructures using new and existing technologies.

She worked for Target and Marshall Fields after starting her career at Arthur Andersen. She also started a retail business of her own and her clients include retail, service and non-profit. Arlyn has over 20 years of finance experience, including several years in a Fortune 200 setting. For the last 15 years he has consulted and served in executive-level finance roles, including Vice President, Finance and CFO in several privately-held companies. His industry experience includes consumer products, transportation, healthcare, medical devices and publishing. Arlyn’s consumer products experience has been with companies serving big box retailers such as Target, Walmart and Best Buy. His passion is helping companies grow and achieve their maximum potential. Jimmy began his career as an auditor and transitioned into a role as investor and financial advisor. His areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, investor communications, strategic and financial planning, and expertise with the fundraising process.
Michael NelsonDirector | GO CFO
Michael brings over 15 years of finance and business operations experience with leadership roles at organizations ranging from start-ups to large multinationals. He has considerable experience in the technology industry, having spent a number of years at Hewlett-Packard, but more recently has transitioned to an emphasis in the healthcare technology space providing financial leadership for a number of startups in the Twin Cities and Rochester. Michael tailors his services to the individual client’s needs, whether that be financial modeling, FP&A, controllership or fractional CFO services. He specializes in creating clear linkages between business decisions and the anticipated results, in many cases building financial models that lay the foundation for capital raises.

Bryan has over 15 years of experience working with growing companies from start-up to exit at organizations including Arthur Andersen, Lazard Middle Market (fka Goldsmith Agio Helms) and Target Corporation. During his time in investment banking and private equity, he evaluated all aspects of a business to determine its value drivers and growth potential before coordinating with key decision makers on how best to communicate the information to interested parties. Bryan graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with Honors, majoring in Finance and Operations and earned a MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.

Tony brings a broad perspective to helping companies grow. Tony has created new revenue generating services, led business integrations, and identified and executed strategic initiatives for a multi-billion dollar company. He has held roles in strategy, M&A, finance, supply chain and accounting in various service industries. Tony’s start-up and small business experience includes business development, market analysis, establishing appropriate financial processes and measures, capital raising and deep support of operating teams.

Jim began his career at Northwest Airlines, lastly based in Tokyo, Japan. He earned an MBA from Yale University.
